I live in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. My passions lie with studio work and artistic representations.
In the early eighties, I worked as a commercial photographer in Chicago shooting products as well as people (shots for model portfolios, album covers, etc.). I did all my own darkroom work so, when Photoshop came out, I was ecstatic! At first, my photos would be drum scanned then manipulated in Photoshop. Now, digital photography has made life so simple!
While living in Chicago, I was a member of an artists’ co-op. It worked out really well. In 1985, at the birth of my daughter (and after moving to Kansas), I gave up work to raise her. While in Kansas, I taught photography in the art department at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas.
I currently shoot digital (with several film cameras still in my bag) and am a slave to Adobe Photoshop! My background began with Graphic Design and Commercial Photography. I am also available to turn your shots into artistic renditions (water color, oil, chalk, pastel, etc.) for fine canvas prints. If you need personal sports shots, puppy (or people) portraits, or special events captured in time, I can help.
Please contact me if you’re interested in workshops and/or classes. I teach photography and Photoshop. If you’re interested in large format photography using film, let me know. I am working on getting classes together for this as well.
